Private Citizen Ron Lasorsa is Uniquely Qualified

Ron is a former Company Commander in the U.S. Marine Corps. He specializes in third-party litigation funding and has proposed several amendments to the Litigation Transparency Act of 2025, which aim to effectively address the widespread issue of fraud in mass tort and class action litigation. Ron is dedicated to a crucial initiative that, once implemented, could save taxpayers $20 billion related to the Camp Lejeune Justice Act litigation, advocate for the passage of the amended Litigation Transparency Act, and create jobs for up to 5,000 veterans nationwide.

Ron Lasorsa is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served at Camp Lejeune from 1990 to 1994. After his time in the Marine Corps and a decade-long career on Wall Street, he transitioned into the litigation finance industry. Throughout his fifteen-year career working with law firms, he discovered that around 100 attorneys used offshore call centers funded by third-party litigation investors to engage in identity theft. These attorneys have employed electronic signatures to submit fraudulent CLJA claims. Lasorsa also has evidence that sovereign wealth funds from adversaries of the United States are investing in the CLJA lawsuit.

On October 12, 2022, Lasorsa filed a whistleblower complaint with the Securities and Exchange Commission to highlight this issue. However, the Biden administration chose not to investigate Lasorsa’s claims. On January 18, 2024, Lasorsa initiated a lawsuit against Ed Bell, the lead counsel for the CLJA, and submitted evidence supporting his claims to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, where the CLJA case is being heard. Lasorsa’s case was dismissed on September 27, 2024, without any investigation by the Court or the Department of Justice. To review Lasorsa’s evidence, refer to Lasorsa v. Bell, civil case 5:24-cv-00031 in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.

Verifying 400,000 claims will demand considerable effort, and currently, no company in the world has the necessary expertise or sufficient personnel for this task. Here are the main requirements for the project:

  1. The company must be established from the ground up, and it is crucial to have an experienced individual with strong leadership skills.
  2. The operation must be conducted by someone unaffiliated with the law firms submitting false claims. The entire U.S. legal services industry has been affected by a “fox guarding the hen house” mentality, which requires the involvement of a true outsider.
  3. The operation must be performed by an expert in identity theft related to mass tort litigation, as these criminals employ advanced tactics to deceive standard audit systems. Lasorsa meets these criteria, and no one else has the rare combination of motivation and experience needed to undertake this crucial mission.
