Cost-Benefit Analysis of the CLJA Claim Verification Program
Considering the number of CLJA claims filed and the severity of injuries associated with the litigation, the total settlement could cost U.S. taxpayers around $100 billion. The $1.12 billion budget for verifying these claims is modest compared to the projected savings, which are expected to yield benefits 10 to 20 times greater than the cost. By eliminating fraudulent claims in CLJA litigation, Lasorsa anticipates saving American taxpayers approximately $20 billion before any payments are made. Additionally, Lasorsa plans to hire 5,000 veterans to implement the program.
